CATCH: Charitable Assistance To Community’s Homeless

What is CATCH?

  • CATCH is an acronym for Charitable Assistance To Community’s Homeless.

  • CATCH is a collaborative effort, administrated by the City of Boise, and designed to assist homeless families with children. This effort is sponsored by community partners, including the United Way, local businesses, local communities of faith, and the City of Boise.

  • CATCH provides housing first, then coordinates social services and case management to address the issues which contributed to the family's episode of homelessness.

How Does CATCH Work?

  • Business and congregations sponsor families. Local businesses and congregations agree to sponsor a family for the terms of a lease (up to 12 months). Leases are signed between the family and landlord, and typically range in market value from $500- $800, depending on the size of the unit needed.

  • The City of Boise pays administrative costs. The City of Boise covers all of CATCH's administrative costs, which include the case management of CATCH families.
