We want to hear from you!

The City of Boise receives federal funds to support our community and increase the availability of affordable housing. Your input will help us prioritize how the funds are spent.

How should we prioritize federal funding?

Housing + Community Develpment

Each year, the City of Boise receives funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Funds are awarded based on our population and other data points.

  • COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) funds can be used for services and infrastructure projects like sidewalks and playgrounds. The city typically receives approximately $1.4M in CDBG funds.
  • HOME program funds can be used for new construction and rehabilitation of housing. The city typically receives a little under $800,000 in HOME funds.

Resident input matters!

Community feedback helps us better understand what areas we should prioritize for investment.

Please take the survey and let us know what you think. For questions please contact communityengagement@cityofboise.org.
